How many days does a bag last?
With one cat, a bag usually lasts around a month, and many households make it go about 40 days. Your actual results hinge on your cat, the box size, how much litter you add and how frequently it is used.
What are the ingredients?
Charcoal formula ingredients: soybean fiber, corn starch, pea fiber, calcium carbonate, then activated carbon. Lavender formula ingredients: the same soybean fiber, corn starch, pea fiber and calcium carbonate, finishing with dried lavender.
It clumps, so why can it be flushed too?
Add a bit of moisture and it firms into a clump, yet when it is fully submerged in water it dissolves entirely.
Is it septic safe?
Yes. Plenty of our customers have septic systems. Flush only small amounts at once, and it dissolves completely in water.
My plumber warned me not to flush anything.
Many litters just carry a flushable label, but this one truly falls apart in water, so it won't collect in your plumbing.
Can I use it in a self-cleaning litter box?
Most automatic boxes are designed for fine clay litter, so tofu pellets may not work smoothly in them. If you scoop by hand, we recommend the Cove Litter Box, which has a wide-slatted scoop and non-stick plastic.
Does Really Great Cat Litter have a shelf life?
For the best results, use an unopened bag within 24 months of the date stamped on it. After opening, use it up within 3 to 6 months and store it closed in a cool, dry place.
How do the Charcoal and Lavender formulas differ?
Performance is identical in both; the scent is the only change. Charcoal has no scent and uses activated carbon against odor, whereas Lavender gets a gentle fragrance from real dried petals.

It's “ok”
Overall it's okay, but I have some reservations. Now and then the litter sticks to my cat's fur around his tail and rear end (he's medium-haired). One of the dogs also keeps trying to snack on it and got an upset stomach a couple of times, probably since it's made from food ingredients. Even though I scoop out every bit of waste throughout the day, the smell still isn't fully under control...

REALLY GREAT CAT LITTER earns its name. Tracking is 90% better. I bought the lavender scented litter and was gone for a day. The odor wasn't good. I asked them for advice, and they recommended baking soda until a free bag of the odor control one arrived!

Easily the best cat litter I have ever tried!
After a 10 day trial there's no doubt this is hands-down the top kitty litter! Not long ago I moved to a place half the size with my 2 cats, and their only outdoor time is in a catio. Finding litter under the sheets and between my toes had worn me out. I tested 5 brands and this one is ideal! At first the cats hesitated, but the other brands are in the trash now, leaving them no choice and everyone is happy! Far less waste, hardly any odour problems, simpler to handle and NO crunchy litter tracked through the house. I admit I haven't tried flushing it yet but will soon.
